We are thrilled to announce this year’s launch of Project TRIUMPH, an innovative initiative by the Centre for Homeownership and Economic Development (CHOEDC), in collaboration with Durham County. This program is dedicated to transforming the lives of Black youth (ages 13-24) in Durham County through comprehensive mental and physical health support.

About Project TRIUMPH

Project TRIUMPH is more than just a program; it’s a movement aimed at fostering mental health resilience, personal development, and economic stability among African-American youth. From January 2024 to September 2025, Project TRIUMPH will nurture and empower 750 youths by providing:

  • Group Mentoring Sessions: Tailored to individual needs, these sessions will build interpersonal skills and support networks.
  • Personalized Development Plans: Helping participants achieve their aspirations with step-by-step guidance.
  • Valuable Insights from Experienced Mentors: Offering wisdom and advice from those who have walked similar paths.
  • Peer & Family Support: Creating a community of like-minded individuals to encourage and support each other.
  • Access to Resources and Workshops: Enhancing skills and opening doors to new opportunities.
  • A Supportive Community: Cheering on participants every step of the way.
