Affordable Housing Real Estate Development

There is a shortage of affordable and available housing to low-income and extremely low-income households. Many of available housing are cost-prohibitive or cost-burdening to these households with many sacrificing other necessities such as healthcare, groceries, or fearing unstable/unsafe housing situations like evictions or poor housing quality. CHOEDC’s commitment to providing affordable housing for our underserved communities as a supportive solution to this problem.

The City of Raleigh has committed to creating 5,700 affordable housing units by 2026. CHOEDC’s goal is to create affordable housing with a focus on the home insecure, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and veterans through the development of rental units and owner-occupied homes.
