Your Future Starts with Opportunity

The Durham Futures Initiative (DFI) helps eligible Durham residents gain the skills, credentials, and support needed to pursue high-demand careers and long-term economic stability.

Through no-cost training, career exploration, and connections to industry partners, participants can prepare for rewarding career pathways in as little as six months. Qualified individuals may also be eligible to receive stipends of up to $5,000 while completing the program.

Whether you’re unemployed, underemployed, justice-involved, or simply ready for a new direction, DFI is designed to help you take the next step toward a brighter future.
