Health & Wellness

Project TRIUMPH

On February 1, 2024, the Centre for Homeownership and Economic Development (CHOEDC) launched Project TRIUMPH.  Under CHOEDC’s “Health and Wellness” focus area, TRIUMPH is an acronym for “Training and Resources to Improve Understanding of Mental and Physical Health”.  This project is designed to improve health outcomes for Black people in Durham County with the goal of serving 750 youth (ages 13-24) and their families. The initiative encompasses community engagement, direct mental health services, mentoring, personal and professional development, and access to mHealth technologies to improve health literacy.

HOW CAN YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW PARTICIPATE IN PROJECT TRIUMPH?

Join one of our upcoming cohorts and work with like-minded peers from across the community who are working to develop skills that will help them demonstrate the most-healthy version of self.  Participants may be matched with a mentor from the local community and participate in activities to promote personal and professional development.
