Net Zero Gas Emissions Initiative
What Does Net Zero Mean?
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Net Zero is defined as resulting in neither a surplus nor a deficit of something specified when gains and losses are added together (ex. – net-zero carbon emissions). Simply put, it is cutting greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible, with any remaining emissions re-absorbed from the atmosphere, oceans, forests, etc.
CHOEDC’s aim is to support the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by offering access to Electric Vehicle Charging Stations throughout the North Carolina area. In 2021, 29,270 electric cars were sold in North Carolina and there are only 2,554 charging ports. We want to make it easier to charge your vehicles and make a positive, cleaner impact on the community.
